Coding Teacher Training
The Coding Teacher Training (CTT) Online course offers a comprehensive guide for educators and parents looking to teach coding to children aged 4 to 16. It provides tailored teaching methods aligned with British and American coding standards. The course emphasizes hands-on coding experiences, including game design, animation creation, and app development, catering to beginners without prior coding knowledge.
There are three distinct coding pathways available, each tailored to individual preferences and choices.
1. Coding Curriculum Training: This self-paced program provides access to standardized British and American coding curricula, equipped with comprehensive resources for teaching coding from kindergarten to Senior Secondary classes. Teachers can download these resources and practice lessons to effectively convey the learning to their students. Cost: N6,000.
2. Coding Curriculum Training + Project: Building on Training 1, this package includes everything from the first plan, with the addition of four hands-on coding lessons focused on Scratch programming. These lessons are tailored for beginner learners across grades 1 to 6. Cost: N10,000
3. Termly Coding Community: This mentorship community offers term-long guidance for teachers. Participants join a Google Classroom, gaining access to weekly coding lessons designed for teaching students. There are two communities available, and a teacher can opt for either or both. The primary community initially focuses on Scratch coding projects and later progresses to App Inventor projects for upper primary students. Meanwhile, the secondary community concentrates on advanced topics like app development and web design. Each community costs 50,000 Naira, payable at the start of every term.
These training plans cater to teachers seeking varying levels of support in teaching coding, ranging from comprehensive curriculum access to guided, hands-on project-based learning and ongoing mentorship communities aligned with student learning levels.
